What are cloud services?
For most of us, the Internet is just a mouse click or the touch of a finger away, whether from a work computer or a smartphone. Internet transfer speeds and storage options are now so good that certain offerings can be used directly on the Internet without installing them locally.
These offerings range from storage space for photos or videos to the ability to use computer programs located on the Internet via the browser as if they were installed locally. The number of users is basically unlimited.
Even government agencies and other institutions are already using cloud services today! On the following page are a few examples of cloud services.

Cloud services offer the possibility for a large number of people - often free of charge - to use data and programs via the Internet. The associated high availability is sometimes bought with the free services by the fact that their providers also have access to the data.
