Misdirected information

Time and again, human error leads to information being misdirected and thus falling into the wrong hands. Under certain circumstances, this can have considerable economic and legal consequences for you, your colleagues and your Authority or institution.

If you accidentally receive an email that is not intended for you,

  • do not share the email or its contents,
  • inform the sender or the person who sent it,
  • delete the e-mail from your mailbox.

Notices in an e-mail that contain regulations in the event of misdirection are not legally binding.
