Guidelines for the use of the Internet
Many Authorities or institutions set specific guidelines for Internet use. These regulate e.g.
- the private use of Internet services,
- the handling of sensitive and confidential data,
- the responsibility of employees for data protection and data security,
- prohibitions on the installation of software,
- prohibitions on setting up and operating unauthorized Internet access,
- logging of e-mail and Internet usage.
Good to know
- To maintain operation or for error analysis, Internet traffic must be logged in certain situations (basically, not the content, but the circumstances of communication).
