We summarize the most important password rules:
- Use secure, preferably unique passwords
- At least eight characters long, use letters and numbers and upper and lower case letters
- No passwords from dictionaries, no names, birth dates, etc.
- Do not write down your password anywhere
- Do not share your password with other people
- Do not save your passwords in the browser or on devices
- Log out of the respective procedure as soon as you want to end the session
- Be alert to requests for credentials or passwords - is someone trying a social engineering attack?
- If you receive unusual requests or attempts to contact you from supposed colleagues or supervisors, first consult with them to authenticate the person.
