Dangers increase with connection to the Internet

Every computer that has access to the Internet is at risk of virus infection. As the use of computers as a communication medium increases, so does the risk of viruses. As soon as an Internet connection is available, the probability of a virus attack is 100%.

The threat of damage can be considerable:

• If data is destroyed by a virus attack, your Authority or institution may incur high expenses for recovery.
• If spied out data gets into the public domain, your Authority or institution reputation and trust, not to mention data privacy violations.
• Even if no information is deleted or spied on, recovering compromised systems can be time consuming and costly.
